We’re excited to announce that UpFront Diagnostics has been awarded £30,000 from the MedTech Accelerator: Rapid Regulatory Support (MARRS) fund, delivered by CPI (Centre for Process Innovation).
This funding will directly support the CE marking process for our innovative stroke diagnostic device, LVOne, moving us one step closer to launching across the European Union.
Enabling Faster Stroke Diagnosis in Europe
LVOne is a rapid, point-of-care blood test designed to detect stroke — particularly large vessel occlusion (LVO) — in just minutes. With only a finger-prick blood sample, the test measures key biomarkers (GFAP and D-dimer) to enable fast, reliable diagnosis before the patient even reaches the hospital.
CE marking is a key regulatory milestone that will allow LVOne to be marketed and used throughout the EU, helping emergency and acute care providers triage patients faster and initiate life-saving interventions sooner.
About the MARRS Fund
The MARRS programme, delivered by CPI, is designed to support UK-based medtech companies in accelerating their regulatory readiness. This award reflects the growing recognition of LVOne’s clinical and market potential in transforming stroke care.
“This funding brings us closer to making LVOne available to healthcare systems across Europe. It’s a vital step toward delivering faster, more effective stroke diagnosis where it matters most.”
